June 2020 was cool and rainy, but summer finally settled in for good, lasting until mid-August. The nights remained cool, however, which is beneficial in hot years as it allows the grapes to ripen at a more moderate pace. A few thunderstorms at the end of August allowed the vines to continue developing, and the grapes ultimately reached superb ripeness, particularly the Merlot.
